Pick your device and follow the numbered steps. Most people are watching in under six minutes, and support will screen-share the tricky parts if you would rather not do it alone.
The most common setup in US homes. Sideloading takes about six minutes end to end.
Roku does not allow sideloading, so we use a playlist-compatible channel from the Roku store.
Everything comes from the App Store, so nothing needs sideloading on Apple hardware.
Tizen and webOS TVs use MAC-based activation instead of a login screen.
The most flexible platform — TiviMate gives the closest thing to a cable-style guide.
Useful for testing your line quickly before you set up the living room TV.
Set-top boxes authenticate by MAC address against a portal URL rather than a login.
If it runs apps and connects to the internet, there is almost certainly a way in.

Installing on a Fire TV Stick? The full Firestick walkthrough covers the Downloader code, the permission Amazon turns off by default, and the three reasons a code fails.
Almost every setup problem is one of five things, and four of them are fixed in under a minute. Work down this list before you message support and you will usually beat us to the answer.
Usually: a copied space or the wrong protocol on the server URL
Type the server URL by hand rather than pasting it, include http or https exactly as written in your welcome email, and check the port number is attached. Autocorrect on phones is the usual culprit — it capitalises the first letter of a username.
Usually: Wi-Fi contention rather than the stream itself
Run a speed test on the streaming device, not on your phone. If it reports under 25 Mbps on a device you expected to be fast, the connection is the problem. Move to Ethernet, or to the 5 GHz band, and retest before contacting support.
Usually: an upstream source that has dropped
Look for a backup feed for the same channel further down the group — major events usually list several. Report the dead feed to support with the exact channel name so it gets replaced rather than sitting broken.
Usually: the EPG has not finished downloading, or the time zone is wrong
Give it fifteen minutes on a fresh install. If times are shifted by whole hours, set the player's time zone to your own rather than leaving it on automatic — TV boxes frequently guess wrong.
Usually: an expired term or a device that lost its credentials
Check your renewal date first. If the term is still live, force-close the app, reopen it and let it re-authenticate. A router reboot clears a surprising number of these.
Usually: you have hit your simultaneous-stream limit
Count what is actually streaming, including anything left paused in another room. If your household genuinely needs more at once, adding devices to your plan is prorated and takes a few minutes.
Streaming quality is decided by your home network far more often than by the service. A 4K feed needs about 25 Mbps sustained, HD needs about 15, and every extra simultaneous screen adds its own share on top. A household on 100 Mbps comfortably runs three or four streams — until the Wi-Fi becomes the bottleneck instead of the line.
The single biggest improvement most people can make is running Ethernet to whichever TV matters most. Wi-Fi has to share airtime with every other device in the house, and at 8pm on a Sunday that is exactly when you notice. If a cable is genuinely impossible, put the main TV on the 5 GHz band, keep it in line of sight of the router, and move the router off the floor and out of the media cabinet.
You need your welcome email, which contains a username, password and server URL, plus the streaming device you plan to watch on and its remote. Nothing else — no cables, no adapters and no account with any other service.
The players that support our login format are not in Amazon's app store, so Fire TV users install them through the free Downloader app instead. It is a normal, supported Fire TV feature, and the guide above walks through enabling it in Developer Options.
A MAC address is the unique hardware ID your TV's app shows on its welcome screen, and it is how Samsung and LG apps identify your device instead of using a login. Send it to support, we attach your playlist to it, and the channels appear after a restart.
Give the program guide up to fifteen minutes on first install — it downloads separately from the channel list and populates in the background. If it is still empty after that, force-close the app and reopen it, and message support if it persists.
Yes — install the app on as many devices as you like and sign in on all of them. Your plan only limits how many can stream at the same moment, so a 2-device plan installed on five devices is completely normal.
